Local high school to host an event for baseball fans next month

JACKSON, Tenn. — A local high school is hosting an event for baseball fans coming up next month.

Madison Academic Baseball is hosting its annual high school baseball event out at the ballpark in Jackson. The event is in support of Down Syndrome Awareness. Games will be from March 18th through march 23rd. This includes March 21st, which is World Down Syndrome Day. Several of the Jackson-Madison County School System high school teams will be playing this year.

“This year we have 19 teams coming to town throughout the full week so two two games Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, four games on Saturday. All to honor families and kids with down syndrome,” said Chris Clark, the head baseball coach at Madison Academic Magnet High School.

 

The entry is free in lieu of donations, and is a chance to see the ballpark filled for a worthy cause.
