Local filmmakers set to premiere short film “Frog-Man Five”

 

JACKSON, Tenn.–In the spirit of Leap Day, a group of locally-known filmmakers are preparing to premiere the highly anticipated short film “Frog- Man Five” this weekend.

“Frog-Man Five” is described as a coming-of-age comedy that delves into the beauty of overcoming fear, exploring fears that are unique to adolescents.

The entertaining and inspirational film features quirky humor, 90s nostalgia, and nods to kitsch horror.

The film showcases the talents of collaborators including screenwriter Austin Camp, Director Rachel Camp, and Director of Photography Scott Lancaster.

The premiere screening of “Frog-Man Five” will be held Saturday, March 2, from 6-8 p.m. It will take place at Catbird Studio, located at 2100 Pleasant Plains Extended Suite G in Jackson.

The screening will also feature refreshments and a panel discussion with the cast and crew.
