Traffic stop of unmarked ambulance leads to arrest, drug seizure
HUMBOLDT, Tenn. — The West Tennessee Drug Task Force concluded a month long investigation that ended with an arrest, and the seizing of 40 grams of methamphetamine among other drugs.

According to agents in the 28th Judicial District, assisted by the Humboldt Police Department, a traffic stop was conducted on a man driving an unmarked ambulance.
The agents activated their emergency lights and the man pulled into a parking lot near Beauty Mart on Dungan St., once stopped, the driver was said to have stepped outside the vehicle and locked his keys inside.
Agents were said to have noticed an odor remnant of marijuana as well as crystal residue on the center console of the car, which then led to a probable cause search.
The task force said the search revealed 40 grams of methamphetamine, 1 ounce of marijuana, a bottle of injectable steroids, 2 Xanax, 17 unidentified unmarked pills believed to be fentanyl, and paraphernalia associated with the sale of narcotics.
The case is still under investigation by the West Tennessee Drug Task Force who say further charges could be assigned.
