Union University hosts 31st annual Creative Writing Workshop
JACKSON, Tenn. — Union University’s hosts its 31st annual Creative Writing Workshop today.

The workshop was for West Tennessee high school students and held at the Carl Grant Events Center.
Dr. Christine Bailey was the featured speaker, which was followed by a book signing and reception.
Bailey, a Professor of English at Union, writes young adult fiction and is the author of several novels.
Her most recent book, “Burning Little Lies,” was published earlier this month.

Bailey shared that writing has always been a part of her life and that it was an honor to share her writing and stories with a new generation.
“I’ve been inspired by writers who have gone before me so hoping that I can give a little inspiration and encouragement to these up and coming writers means the world to me,” said Bailey.
Bailey encourages current writers to keep writing and set self doubt aside.
