Residents participate in the Recycling Roundup

JACKSON, Tenn.—One event helps residents get rid of some unwanted items and help the environment.

The Tennessee Environmental Council sponsored the Recycling Roundup event today at Jackson’s Rockabilly Stadium.

The event took place from 9 this morning until 1 this afternoon and allowed for residents to get rid of some unwanted items.

Some of these included mattresses, tires, clothes, Styrofoam, glass bottles and also old papers.

“The good thing about what we’re doing today, is that we work with vendors throughout the state where everything we collect will be recycled,” said Ginger Reasonover, Program Recycling Coordinator.

This was a free event open to the public and surrounding residents.
