Authorities investigate series of shootings in Jackson, urging public’s assistance
UPDATE (3/13/24): Adult, 2 juveniles arrested following robbery, shooting at Post House apartments
JACKSON, Tenn. — Authorities are looking for information regarding three shootings that took place over the weekend on Friday, March 1st at 10 p.m., the Jackson Police Department responded to shots fired at Post House, Jackson, at 26 Rachel Drive.
Officers then located two people who had been taken to a nearby business.
A 16-year-old male and a 19-year-old male suffered gunshot wounds.
They were transported to a hospital in Memphis for treatment.
According to a news release from JPD, around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 3rd, officers were called to a shooting that took place in the parking lot of the Waffle House on Casey Jones Lane.
A female victim was in her car when it was shot into.
The unidentified woman later arrived at an area hospital with minor injuries from the glass that was broken.
Then, around 4:20 in the morning, an adult male, who had been shot, arrived to an area hospital.
He stated that he was a passenger in a vehicle traveling on Hollywood Drive, near Miller Avenue when the vehicle he was in was shot multiple times.
The victim told police that he believed the driver had also been shot.
Officers located the vehicle in the area of Hollywood and Airways Boulevard.
An adult male was discovered shot in the vehicle and was transported to an area hospital.
This victim is listed in critical condition.
According to a statement released by authorities, both shootings from Sunday appear to be targeted and not random.
