JACKSON, Tenn. — Super Tuesday is right around the corner, and we want to provide some details for you before you cast your ballot.
Early voting recently closed, however, you still have some time to cast your ballot on Tuesday. Lori Lott, Administrator of Elections for the Madison County Election Commission, tells us when the polls will open.
“They open at 8 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.,” said Lott.
That is for all of West Tennessee. She also tells us about what we can expect to see on our ballots. As well as some specifics for Madison County residents.
“We are voting on the nominees for your presidential candidates. You are voting for delegates on the Republican ballot and we are voting on some school board races and an Assessor of Property primary as well. On the school board it is districts 2,3,5, and 6,” said Lott.
Lott previously mentioned that, in Madison County, some election locations have changed. She tells us which ones they are and where they have moved to.
“If you are voting at Alexander School, you will now go to the Light of Life Ministries Church. If you are voting at North Parkway School, you will now go to New St. Luke’s Church. If you are voting at the Madison County Board of Education, you will now go to U-tag center on Airways. Lott tells us what you will need to bring to your voting location.
“They will need to bring their photo ID. State issued, or federally issued photo ID, and their voter card if they have it,” said Lott.
