Jackson police investigates 2 shootings, with multiple in custody
JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson police department is investigating multiple shooting incidents that took place Tuesday afternoon.
According to JPD, around 1 this afternoon officers were patrolling near North Royal street when they heard gunshots.
They quickly responded to the scene at the 1500 block of North Royal and took three adults and one juvenile into custody.
Officers also recovered multiple firearms. No injuries were reported .
Police are also investigating a shooting on Webber street in east Jackson. According to Jackson police, around 3:15 this afternoon officers responded to a shooting near the intersection of Bryant street and Webber street.
Upon arrival, they found a man with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. The victim was airlifted to a hospital in Memphis.
Officers quickly located a suspect, who was taken into custody.
Multiple firearms were recovered from the residence where the suspect was taken into custody.
Authorities say this is an ongoing investigation.
