One place open during regular hours next week is the Legends of Tennessee Music Museum at The Carnegie.

“We’re here just as we are everyday welcoming families just as we welcome families literally from all around the world to come and learn more about the musical heritage of west Tennessee,” said Rodger Jowers, Museum Guide for the Legends of TN Music Museum, at The Carnegie.

This storytelling museum has a guide that will clue you in on the many music legends from all over West Tennessee.

“So it’s not just walk around and look at the boxes. We pop up a lot of the time and tell a lot of stories about the people…curious and interesting things that have occurred in the process of West Tennessee making music all around the world,” said Jowers.

Next, a way for the kids to stretch their minds and some quality time and space for you.

The Jackson-Madison County Library welcomes all families for a few spring break activities happening next week.

“In the afternoons on Tuesday and Thursday we are going to have just drop-in programs for kids to come in make some friends and have some fun outside of the house,” said Jennifer Kilburn, JMC Librarian.

There will be story time throughout the week, as well as a Lego Build Day on Tuesday, crafts on Thursday, and hot wheels on Saturday.

Aside from the activities the library has throughout the week, Kilburn says spring break is a good time for kids to relax about reading.

“During spring break I think it would be really good if families could bring the kids to the library, let them pick out a comic book or picture book that you can read together and just laugh about and just let reading feel fun again.” said Kilburn.

As always make sure to stay safe over the break and remember this is a week to relax.
