Solar eclipse set to dazzle viewers across the US
JACKSON, Tenn. — Next month, people from all across the United States are in for a special treat.
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration, NASA, is preparing for the next solar eclipse.
The eclipse will take place on April 8th this year.
The best way to view this eclipse is by purchasing solar viewing glasses.
You can remove the glasses for a split second when the sun has completely covered the moon.
For an alternative, if you do not have glasses on hand, you can use pinhole projection to safely view the eclipse.
“Science is for everyone. I think that’s really important. And this eclipse is such a beautiful opportunity to experience that. Just going out and observing and seeing what changes happen in your environment when the eclipse happens, that’s a piece of science,” said Partnership Outreach and Engagement Manager for NASA, Anita Dey.
