A local family helps provide a new pavilion for campers
HENDERSON, Tenn.—A local family provides a new place for campers to enjoy.
A ribbon cutting ceremony was held in Henderson around 10 this morning.
The Dodd family, representatives from Freed-Hardeman University, and other guests were present to unveil the new Dodd Pavilion at Mid-South Youth Camp.
The new pavilion was constructed with the generous donations provided by the Dodd family and will offer a space for camp activities, classes, fellowship and more.
The family has a long history with Freed-Hardeman University and the Chester county community.
The family was overjoyed to help provide the camp with the new structure.
“The Dodd family, we love Mid-South Youth Camp. We love the people. We love what it represents. We’re excited to play a very small role, along with many other families who love this camp, and supporting not only this community but all the families represented throughout the state of Tennessee and the United States who come here and call Mid-South Youth Camp home, ” said Henry Dodd, Pavilion donor family member.
Mid-South Youth Camp is a faith-focused camp which offers kids ages 6 to 18 the opportunity to experience summer camp activities in a wholesome environment.
