Man arrested after more than 90lbs of marijuana, firearms found during search
SAVANNAH, Tenn. — A man was arrested after a large amount of drugs, firearms and more were discovered during a recent search.

According to the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, 58-year-old Daniel Nichols Jr. was taken into custody after the discovery of more than 90 pounds of marijuana and other unlawful items.
The Sheriff’s Office says authorities executed a search warrant around 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 7, at 385 Harlem Street in Savannah.
The search involved efforts from the 24th Judicial Drug Task Force, the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office and the Savannah Police Department.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, during a search of the home, authorities found approximately 94 pounds of marijuana, loaded firearms, and more than $68,000 in suspected drug proceeds.
The Sheriff’s Office says Nichols was arrested at the scene and transported to the Hardin County jail without incident.
Nichols is facing charges of possession of schedule VI drugs with the intent to manufacture, deliver, and resale, possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of drug paraphernalia, and money laundering.
Nichols currently remains in custody, with a bond set at $100,000.
The Sheriff’s Office shared that the investigation remains ongoing and more arrests are likely to follow.
