Hundreds of Dogs to Compete
JACKSON, TN, March 17, 2024—The Jackson Dog Fanciers Association and the Tupelo Kennel Club brings dog lovers their annual All-Breed Dog Shows this weekend with conformation, obedience, and rally. Almost 600 dogs and their owners will strut their stuff in the show ring Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, March 21-24 at the Jackson Fairgrounds Park, 800 South Highland Ave, Jackson, TN 38301 from 8 AM to 5 PM each day. The event is great for the whole family with free parking and admission. (Dogs that are not entered in the competitions are not permitted on show grounds. Also, baby strollers are not permitted in the building.) For club or show information, please visit www.jtdfa.org or www.tupelokennelclub.com.
Spectators can:
- Meet and greet a variety of different purebred dog breeds. Visitors can learn about responsible dog ownership and speak with breeders, owners, and exhibitors. • Cheer for your favorite dog while watching the judging of various breeds in conformation, obedience, and rally.
- See young owner-handlers compete against their peers in the Junior Showmanship Competition.
- Watch owner-handlers compete in a special series called the National Owner-Handled Series. These exhibitors are striving for a spot in the finals at the AKC National Championship presented by Royal Canin in Orlando in December.
- See puppies getting started in the sport in the AKC Sanctioned 4 and under 6 Months Puppy Competition.
The Jackson TN Dog Fanciers Association (JTDFA) was established in 1996. JTDFA promotes the study, breeding, and exhibition of purebred dogs and responsible dog ownership. For over 20 years, the Jackson Tennessee Dog Fanciers Association has been presenting AKC dog shows where many of the dogs you will see here also go on to compete at Westminster and various other national events seen on television.
JTDFA is proud to partner with the Tupelo Kennel Club, established in 1991, to present these premier shows over an extended number of days (4), attracting more dogs and visitors to the Jackson community.
