Traffic halted as Jackson Police aim to remove man allegedly threatening to jump from bridge

UPDATE: I-40 standstill resolved, no injuries says THP

JACKSON, Tenn. — Jackson Police are on the scene at Interstate 40 and Hollywood Drive Wednesday evening.

According to police, a man is on the I-40 west bound bridge at Exit 79 over Hollywood Drive and U.S. 412 threatening to jump.

Traffic is stopped in the area as police are attempting to talk him down.

Drivers are being advised to avoid the area.
