Fire results in loss of Greenfield business
GREENFIELD, Tenn.—Structure fires result in loss of commercial business.
We have details on a fire that took place Saturday afternoon at a commercial business.
Around 4:30 in the afternoon, Greenfield Fire Department were notified of a fire at Greenfield Marble Shop.
Greenfield, Sharon, Bradford and Dresden Fire Departments responded to the scene.
Several pumpers from Gibson county responded as well.
About 60-thousand gallons of water was used to put out the fire.
Greenfield Fire Chief, Bob Dudley, stated that the fire resulted in the shop being a total loss.
There were nine structures and three were lost to the blaze.
Chief Dudley stated that there was over a million dollars lost because of the damage.
This was the first major loss for the owner.
There were no fatalities. And no firemen were injured.
Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is currently looking further into this situation.
