Margaret Marilyn Anthony

Margaret Marilyn Anthony, age 85, resident of Collierville, Tennessee, departed this life Wednesday morning, March 20, 2024 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Collierville.

Margaret was born September 28, 1938 in Fayette County, the daughter of the late Perry Clarence Anthony and Mildred Margaret Hollowell Anthony. She was a lifelong resident of Fayette County and a caregiver and homemaker throughout her life. Margaret was a member of Kirk Christian Church and enjoyed being with her friends, going to church, gardening, flowers and being with children.

Ms. Anthony is survived by two sisters, Carolyn Dodd and Diane Collins (Richard); her brother, Clarence “Gus” Anthony (Norma); her nieces and nephews, Darrell Anthony, Raymond Anthony, Scott Anthony, Jack Dodd, Karen Hughes, Debra Kunst, Jackie Wilson and Tim Collins; and many great nieces and great nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Dora Moss.

A visitation for Ms. Anthony will be from 1 until 2 P.M. Friday, March 22, 2024 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Funeral Services will be at 2 P.M. Friday, March 22, 2024 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Pastor Ron Collins, pastor of Bethany Christian Church in Eads, officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Collierville.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Jack Dodd, Raymond Anthony, Scott Anthony, Darrell Anthony and Tim Collins.

The family requests that memorials be directed to Kirk Christian Church, 6070 Raleigh LaGrange Drive, Collierville, TN 38017.
