United Way and Leaders Education Foundation unite for literacy

JACKSON, Tenn. — A wagon of fun visited one local bank for families to enjoy.

United Way and Leaders Education Foundation patterned this month to provide books to families to take home and enjoy.

This opportunity was possible through the Wow Wagon.

The Wow Wagon’s overall goal is to make sure that children have access to free books.

They’re donated from either members of the community or local business.

They ask for gently used books or new books to be donated to keep this program running.

“When we’re at north highland next week at the leaders branch there, if someone wants to make a donation right then they can do that. But if someone wants to come and choose a book that will be a good time to do that as well,” said Mark Cancia, Director of School and Community Engagement for United Way.

On Tuesday, March 26, the Wow Wagon will be at the Leaders on 1956 North Highland Avenue in Jackson, from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m.
