Professional organizer shares tips for spring cleaning success
JACKSON, Tenn. — Spring has arrived, which usually means warm weather and flowers and maybe even time for a little cleaning.
Star Hansen, a Certified Professional Organizer, wants to help others kick start their spring cleaning.
Hansen stated that clutter can often be used as a communicator, and that some feel secure in items being piled up.
She stated to start with two rooms at once, such as your closet or office space, and then take your time to move to the next space.
“Another great thing can be for you to use this spring cleaning, maybe not as this feeling of heaviness of ‘I have to clean my whole house’ but what one room can I focus on this month and then just clean a different room every month. Allow yourself this flexibility and think of spring cleaning as a launch into a more organized clean home,” said Hansen.
Hansen also advised that parents should allow their kids to help in cleaning up.
