UT Extension program shines light on opportunities for youth
LEXINGTON, Tenn. — A local program for children across the state is taking the time to educate the public on what they have to offer.
The University of Tennessee Extension programs has made it a priority across the state to promote their hard work to the public.
The Henderson Extension program had their program this afternoon.
This presentation provides information to program leaders and to children from grades four to seniors in high school.
Students are able to participate in 4-H programs and can learn life skills.
These programs are free to those in the Henderson County area.
“In addition to anything that they’re getting in middle school or high school. So this may be livestock judging this may be financial planning. It falls under so many umbrellas of so many programs that they offer,” said Brian White, County Director and Ag Educator for the Henderson location.
This extension office also offers classes in family and consumer science.
