Jackson Symphony’s ‘Queens of Soul’ to close season with generations of music
JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson Symphony is set to host the finale concert of its 63rd season.
The Symphony presents “Queens of Soul” on Saturday, April 6 at 7:30 p.m.
And by the queens, we are talking Tina, Aretha, Whitney, Diana, Adele, and Alicia — an evening fusing the powerful voices of the past with the current reigning divas of Soul and R&B.
Accomplished Broadway recording artists, Shayna Steele, Ashley Jayy, and Kelly Levesque will bring their formidable voices alongside the orchestra to pay tribute to the extraordinary songstresses of Soul.
This is a multi-sensory combination of popular music and stunning imagery that will have you on your feet.
“Just great fun songs that will bring back memories, and just be a lot of fun for you and your friends that come and join us for the night,” said Sherry Freeman, Executive Director for the Jackson Symphony.
