Operation Clean Streets: Jackson continues crackdown on littering

JACKSON, Tenn. — The City of Jackson continues to crackdown on criminal littering.

On Tuesday, the Jackson Police Department reported success in identifying suspects in recent criminal littering incidents.

JPD says the incidents mentioned took place on Lundy Lane and Frogmoor Bottom.

The department thanked those who assisted in their identification, spotlighting the response of the public, along with the assistance of Sergeant Adam Pinion and the JPD Flock Camera System.

This follows a press conference in February with the police department and Keep Jackson Beautiful, detailing their solutions to stop littering and illegal dumping in the city.

“The City has bought cameras that we are putting up in undisclosed locations to catch you. If we do catch you, and we will, we will prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law,” Councilman Richard Donnell stated in May 2023.

Residents can report illegal dumping by downloading the Ready311 app, or by emailing litter@jacksontn.gov.
