Woman arrested after meth, other drugs found in traffic stop
NEWBERN, Tenn. — Police arrest a woman after a traffic stop leads to the discovery of numerous drugs.

According to the Newbern Police Department, 30-year-old Amber James was taken into custody Monday night.
Police say around 7:19 p.m., a traffic stop was conducted on a Honda SUV for a traffic violation on Washington Street.

According to police, a probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted, and officers located nine individual bags containing methamphetamine, seven Adderall pills, and marijuana.
Police say James was arrested and transported to the Dyer County Law Enforcement Center for processing.
She is facing charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession schedule III (Adderall) pending an appearance in Newbern Municipal Court.
This case is being prosecuted by the office of District Attorney General Danny Goodman, Jr.
