Committee talks possible park revamps and building agreement
JACKSON, Tenn. — The Madison County Budget Committee meeting was held today at the Madison County Complex Building.
The meeting involved budget reviews and amendments.
There was also discussion regarding sprucing up parks in preparation for the state games next year.
Chairman of the budget committee, Carl Alexander, talks about a possible understanding between the school system and the county over a building at 3 Candle Parkway.
“Once the school system moves into the new Madison, you know, the county taking that building over, and I know on the county side, with us, for space reasons, it would check a lot of boxes for us if we could work out this arrangement, and they’ve been very cordial and very open to discussing this,” said Alexander.
The next budget committee meeting is Thursday, May 2nd.
