Mayor Scott Conger invites high schoolers to join Youth Council
JACKSON, Tenn. — An opportunity for high school students to get involved in the Hub City has returned.
The Youth Council of Jackson is now taking applications for their 2024-2025 class.
This opportunity is a way for students to learn more about leadership skills and the different roles in the Jackson government.
Students will have the opportunity to work alongside Mayor Scott Conger.
This is only available for junior and senior students of both private and public schools in Jackson.
“Its important for us to get involved with the schools and give them the opportunity these students are juniors and seniors so they’re about to either choose leave or stay in Jackson so giving them opportunity to learn more about the city in depth,” said Claire Peirson, Community Development Coordinator for Jackson.
