Shiloh invites guests to experience the life of a soldier

SHILOH, Tenn.— A local state park invites visitors to step onto the battlefield.

Infantry demonstrations were held at 11 this morning at Shiloh National Military Park in Hardin County.

The action took place in Duncan Field between Tour Stops #3 and #4 at the park.

The living history event included an inside look at the different types of weapons used and various tactics soldiers displayed during the Civil War.

Today’s event was held as part of the park’s commemoration of the 162nd Anniversary of the Battle of Shiloh.

This event was free and open to the public and the park hopes to make this an annual event.
