Stabbing leaves one man injured, investigation ongoing

PARIS, Tenn. — An investigation is underway after a man was injured in a stabbing on Sunday.

According to the Paris Police Department, the incident stemmed from an argument between residents of a home and guests.

Paris Police say around 5 p.m. on April 7, officers were dispatched to a residence on East Washington Street following a call of a person being stabbed.

Upon arrival, officers found the victim outside “bleeding profusely.”

Henry County EMS was called to the scene, and police say the man was transported to the Henry County Medical Center before later being transferred to Vanderbilt in Nashville.

The Paris Police Department Criminal Investigations Division is investigating, and it’s believed to be an isolated incident with no known danger to the public.

Police did not clarify in a media release whether the suspect(s) is identified or if anyone was taken into custody as a result.
