Bolivar Ford Dealership recovers from hailstorm havoc
BOLIVAR, Tenn. — The Bolivar Ford car dealership experienced hectic weather as a storm rolled through late on the afternoon of April 8, dropping golf ball size hail onto cars in their lot.
What began as clear skies for those at the Bolivar Ford dealership quickly turned into a chaotic storm on Monday, April 8.
“Oh yeah, it was no warning, and blue skies around approximately 4:20 pm, it just blew in and lasted for five minutes and it just kept getting worse and worse and then it just stopped,” Cody Waddell, General Store Manager for Bolivar Ford.
This was the first storm that affected their merchandise to this extent.
“Yes, it did do a quite a bit, of course we’re gonna have a national certified company on site that’s going to be set up and repairing these vehicles accordingly. It did get majority of our inventory here on the lot, but of course, we have 5 other lots here as well that we sell from that was not damaged,” said Waddell.
This golf ball sized hail left dents on the hood of many of their cars and even employees cars.
But when life gives you hail you have a snow cone sale.
“We experienced a few windshields of course that’s just a new windshield and then a few dents on the hoods and stuff that they’re going to be taking care of. It will be fixed correctly so, it shouldn’t be an issue. We will be offering a huge hail sale so, offering a huge sale to the community as well, so lets make some good sales,” said Waddell.
Waddell said that no one was outside during this storm.
