Bomb threat under investigation at The Lift
A local business is evacuated late Tuesday afternoon after reports of an alleged bomb threat.
Jackson Police and fire responded to The Lift Wellness Center around 3 p.m. and secured the scene.
Vehicle traffic was blocked to The Lift and traffic rerouted.
Staff and customers, as well as surrounding businesses, were evacuated and gathered across the road from The Lift.
According to a statement from the Jackson Police Department, K9 units were used to clear the clinic side of the building along with the gym.
After a short time, the scene was deemed safe by police and everyone was allowed back inside.
Police say the investigation into this incident is ongoing.
