Seniors rock the runway at local fashion show

JACKSON, Tenn. — Goodwill and the AARP hosted a special spring event today, April 10.

A “Seniors on The Runway” fashion show was held this morning at the T.R. White Sportplex.

The show showcased clothes at goodwill to show seniors that they can dress for success on a budget.

Goodwill Career Coach, Christine McCrury shares her experience at the event.

“It’s really fun watching the seniors enjoy getting out of the house and watching a fashion show. This is the third one that I have been able to participate in with them, and they are just always fun to be with and to show them, hey maybe I can get out and go find some fashionable clothes,” said McCrury.

Goodwill offers various deals for seniors including 20 percent off on Wednesdays and clothes for 99 cents on Sundays.
