Two people injured following a shooting in Parsons

PARSONS, Tenn.—A Saturday shooting sends two people to the hospital.

According to Parsons Chief of Police Wes Woodward, Parsons Police Department were notified Saturday afternoon of a shooting on the 300 block of Alabama Avenue.

Both suspect and victim were airlifted to the hospital.

James C. Johnson is in custody at the Decatur County Jail.

“Charged with Attempted First Degree Murder, Two Counts of Reckless Endangerment and Possession of a Firearm While Committing a Felony,”  Chief Woodward said.

No other details are available at this time.
