Carroll County recognizes top-scoring students at luncheon

HUNTINGDON, Tenn.– Hard work pays off and one local community is celebrating their students in a special way.

The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors held a luncheon this morning, April 15.

The event was in honor of Carroll County graduating seniors who have scored 29 or greater on the ACT.

The luncheon was held at Mallard’s restaurant in Huntingdon.

In 2013, the Carroll County Chamber Board of Directors created an ACT wall of recognition at the chamber that recognizes graduating seniors who have accomplished a high ACT score.

“This year’s class we have eleven members and those eleven members scored in the top nine percent in the nation of all the kids that took the act,” said Brad Hurley, President of The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce.

151 students have been on the ACT wall of honor since its creation.
