We spoke with Thom Corley, Chief of Police for JPD and Amber Smith, a Marketing Associate for Prosper on the importance of the event.
Prosper Realty is a real estate agency that has helped raise money for the JPD Public Safety Fund.
“It really just enables the officers to do more in the community. It allows them to create initiatives and programs, really just to foster positive communication and relationship between community and the police officers,” said Amber Smith, Marketing Associate for Prosper in Jackson.
“One of the foundational pillars for the Jackson Police Department is community oriented policing. A major component of our mission is to suppress crime through co-active partnerships in the community. The JPD Public Safety fund was created to support these partnerships and initiatives. We are so grateful for prosper realty and their efforts to help raise money for the Public Safety Fund. We’re looking forward to the Back The Blue event at Hub City Brewing on April 27th, and invite everyone to join us for a fun evening as we take strides to reduce crime in our community together,” said Corley.
The goal for this event is to raise $100,000 for the JPD Public Safety Fund.
