Earth Day celebration coming to Jackson Fairgrounds
JACKSON, Tenn. — An upcoming event in the Hub City welcomes the entire family to celebrate Earth Day.
City of Jackson, along with Keep Jackson Beautiful, is hosting the 2024 Earth Day Festival.
The event will be held Saturday, April 20, from 9 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Jackson Fairgrounds.
Residents can drop off cardboard, aluminum, and plastics 1 and 2.
There will be fun for the kids, Smokey the Bear and vendors with Earth Day themes.
More than 500 trees will also be given away.
“It’s a great way to come together and celebrate and also educate on some of the best ways to take care of our space,” said Event Coordinator for Keep Jackson Beautiful, Danielle Wade.
Love Your Block is also debuting their mobile workshop at the event.
They are asking for donations of tools or hardware equipment.
