Area Relief Ministries to Host Annual Family Fun Fest May 11

Jackson, Tennessee — (April 19, 2024) — Area Relief Ministries will host its seventh annual Family Fun Fest at the AMP at the Market, 91 New Market Street, in downtown Jackson Saturday, May 11, 2024, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Admission is free and families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs for a day of live music, food trucks, a petting zoo, jumpers and more.

“This is one of our favorite events to host in the community,” Fred McKinnie, ARM executive director, said. “With the school year nearing completion, this is the perfect time for everyone to fellowship with one another.”

In its 47th year of operation, Area Relief Ministries continues its mission to assist the homeless in making positive life changes through job training, placement and housing assistance. The organization also provides emergency services for low-income community members. Through partnerships with local churches and businesses, Area Relief Ministries–Room in the Inn offers nightly housing and meals for the homeless in Jackson, Tennessee.
