Evening shooting kills one in east Jackson
JACKSON, Tenn. — A Monday night shooting in east Jackson leaves one dead.
According to the Jackson Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Lincoln Circle around 10 p.m. in response to a Shot Spotter alert.
JPD says when officers arrived, contact was made with a victim suffering from gunshot wounds.
Police confirm the victim was transported to a local hospital, however he died as a result of his injuries.
An investigation into this incident remains ongoing.
