Expert discusses simple home renovation ideas

JACKSON, Tenn. — Looking for ideas on how to improve, renew, clean, and organize your home this spring?

We spoke with Interior designer, carpenter, general contractor, art director, and set designer David Sheinkopf.

Sheinkopf was featured in more than 100 episodes of HGTV’s “Design on a Dime”, where he helped every-day people on a budget find designs that they loved.

Sheinkopf chats with us on ways to spruce up your space and make your home feel like new.

They are simple updates that virtually anyone can tackle.

“A fresh coat of paint, changing out your lighting or even the simplest thing of just updating your hardware in your kitchen. These are all easy projects but they make a really big impact,” said Sheinkopf.

In 2004, Sheinkopf started his own company building high-end custom pieces for celebrity clientele.
