DYERSBURG, TN – The Dyersburg Dyer County Public Library Foundation, in partnership with First Citizens National Bank and McIver’s Grant Public Library, is proud to announce the first annual Smart Women of West Tennessee and the recognition of 39 outstanding women for their exceptional contributions to various fields and communities.
These women were selected based on their remarkable accomplishments, leadership qualities and positive influence on their West Tennessee communities. Their diverse backgrounds and expertise enrich the fabric of West Tennessee.
Penny Hearn Law (Chairman of the Foundation Board) gave special recognition of Judy Long (FirstCNB President & COO) as the founder of the bank’s Smart Women financial literacy program and for partnering with the Library Foundation Board to host the first annual Smart Women of West Tennessee event.
The Smart Women financial literacy program is designed to empower women, through education, to feel confident making difficult financial decisions. “The program has educated thousands across the state. Our intent is to make sure women know how to handle their finances,” states Long.
Smart Women of West Tennessee was emulated based on the Smart Women financial literacy program. This fundraiser was able to raise $11,000 to benefit The Foundation.
