Parents open mental health facility in honor of their son

LEXINGTON, Tenn. — A grand opening for a new mental health facility was held today, April 26.

Stephen’s Ministry is located at 369 West Church Street in Lexington.

It was founded after the death of Stephen Hensley by his parents.

In honor of Stephen’s life, the ministry provides help to the community with mental health, recovery support, grief counseling, and more.

“We’re coming out of the gate with a public service announcement for youth suicide prevention. We actually filmed that this week so that will be out in the weeks ahead,” said Patrick Lenney, Executive Director for Stephens Ministry Inc.

The opening hosted three speakers including Henderson County Mayor, Robbie McCready, and ended with a blessing and walk through tour of the facility.

Stephen’s Ministry will become available to the public starting May 1.
