Jackson police investigate early morning shooting

JACKSON, Tenn. — Jackson police are investigating a shooting that happened early this morning, April 29.

Investigators say around 12:45 a.m. shots were fired in the 1900 block of North Royal Street.

According to a WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News Tipster, there were about 20 or more rounds shot in the area.

When our crew arrived on scene, Jackson police were seen searching the area.

Nearby onlookers were seen outside as authorities continued to search the scene.

Officers had the street blocked off as they placed markers around shell casings.
