Pickleball players return for final day of tournament

JACKSON, Tenn.—Players hit the courts at a local park for the final day of a tournament.

The last day of the Hub City Spring Showdown Pickleball Tournament was held today at Conger Park in Jackson.

Today’s competition consisted of the mixed doubles teams facing off.

The three-day event began on Friday with singles competition, and continued Saturday with its doubles competition.

The turn out for the tournament was expected at around 300 players competing for the $7,000 purse. Winners were also presented with gold, silver, and bronze medals for competing.

The tournament was organized by the Hub City Picklers and is sponsored by Knott’s Fine Foods.
