Armed robber steals money, vape cartridges from convenience store

Robbery suspect from Maverick’s . On Monday the 29th , the subject below entered the store as the clerk opened up. After the robbery, the subject left the store riding a bicycle going north and was captured on several security cameras. The last sighting was in the area of S. Ury street at Summer street. The incident occurred at approx. 05:08 A.M. If anyone has any information that leads to an arrest ,Crime stoppers will gladly pay you more money than this coward took at gunpoint.

UNION CITY, Tenn. — Police are investigating an armed robbery at a West Tennessee convenience store.

According to a press release from the Union City Police Department, on Monday morning, an armed black male entered the Maverick convenience store, located at 420 East Reelfoot Avenue, as an employee was opening the store.

The press release states the suspect demanded money and vape cartridges, and the employee complied.

According to the release, the suspect then left the store through the back door and left the area heading north.

The release states the suspect is described as being between 5’6″ and 5’10”, medium build, and was wearing all black clothing and a face mask at the time of the incident.

Police say it was undetermined at the time of the release the total value of the stolen money and vape cartridges.

According to the release, a cash reward of up to $1,000 may be offered for information leading to the arrest.
