JMCSS hosts districtwide art show to celebrate student creativity

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson Madison County School System is holding an art show.

Hosted at Madison Downs, the districtwide show started at today, April 30, at 5 p.m. and lasts till 7 p.m.

The entire venue is filled with student artwork.

From clay pieces and charcoal to paintings and pencil drawings.

A silent auction was held at 5 p.m. with half of the proceeds going to the students who donated artwork and the other half going to the fine arts account.

“We’re proud of our teachers, our art teachers and we’re so proud of the students and we’re so excited that, in our district, we have art and music teachers in every school,” said Fine Arts Coordinator for JMCSS.

This is the first time JMCSS has had a districtwide art show with every school and every grade represented.
