Officials respond to warehouse fire in Milan
MILAN, Tenn. — One local business faced an unfortunate fire earlier this morning, May 2.
Around 11:30 a.m. Medina Fire Department received a call about an uncontrolled fire at a warehouse in Milan.
After some time on the scene, Medina Fire Department called in back up.
Gibson, Milan, and Humboldt County Fire Department arrived to the scene to help.
The aftermath left one shed completely burned, ruining everything inside.
The fire also caused minor damages to another building.
“The cause was unattended burning so you need to always make sure that if you are going to do any type of burn that you check make sure you get a burn permit first and you need to make sure that you got some kind of water source there to put the fire out if something happens and somethings starts to get out of control,” said Johnny Lock, Chief of the Milan Fire Department.
Officials say there were no injuries or fatalities.
