Shelby Co. Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Seizure

SHELBY CO., Tenn.—On Friday 5/3/24, Agents with the 30th District out of Memphis conducted a traffic stop on a rental car on I-40 at the 22 mile marker east bound.

Agents were given written consent to search the vehicle.

Upon searching, agents located 3 kilos of cocaine and approximately 153 “Dirty 30” fentanyl pills hidden in luggage within the vehicle.

Two of the Kilos were labeled “CR7” while the third was labeled with a British flag and all three tested presumptively to be cocaine hydrochloride.

Two persons were arrested and transported to the Shelby County Jail awaiting arraignment / bond.

The Shelby County District Attorney’s Office of Steve Mulroy is prosecuting this case.
