Kenneth (“Kenny”) W. Beard
Kenneth (“Kenny”) W. Beard, 65, of Walnut Log Community, peacefully passed away at home on Sunday, May 5th, 2024, surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home, with Brother Charles Southerland officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Manuel Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of services Saturday.
Pallbearers will be Levi Beard, Brandon Beard, Danny Beard, Clay Johnson, Zach Huff, and David Gray.
Kenny was born on October 12th, 1958, in St. Louis, Missouri. He was the son of Marvin and Geraldine (Henson) Beard. He married Jennifer (Brewe) Beard on March 20th, 1982, who survives him.
Kenny and Jenny settled in the Walnut Log community in 1996, where they found not just a place to live, but a tight-knit family of neighbors. Over the years, this community became an integral part of his life, offering support, friendship, and countless cherished memories. Kenny deeply valued the bonds he formed here, often remarking on the special camaraderie that made Walnut Log feel like home.
Kenny dedicated many years to his career at the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency and previously worked in excavation in Obion County. He was a devoted member of Walnut Log Baptist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman. He spent many winters with his friends and family in a duck blind. He is survived by his duck dog, Rio.
Kenny is survived by his two sons, Levi Beard and sweetheart Abigale Plunk of Nashville, and Brandon Beard and sweetheart Gracie Fears of St. Louis; his brother, Danny Beard and significant other Juanita Hulsey of Woodland Mills; his mother, Geraldine Beard of Walnut Log Community; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Beard; his godson, Aaron Brewe; and his father, Marvin Beard.
