Linda Smith Biggs
On April 29, 2024, Linda Smith Biggs, a lifelong lover of Fayette County, followed her beloved husband, Albert “Ray” Biggs, to be with our Lord.
Linda was born in Moscow, Tennessee, at home, on September 18, 1941. Born the middle child of Herbert and Grace Smith. Linda was sister to Etna Mae Chambers and William “David” Smith. Linda adored her sister and brother. She loved to talk about her adventures as a youth, swimming with siblings and friends in the Wolf River, and playing with critters her dad brought home from the river bottom.
Linda was a Fayette County High School Varsity Cheerleader and graduated near the top of her class in 1959. She attended Memphis School of Business and worked at Oakley Ford prior to starting a family. Kind and generous almost to a fault; she will be missed by all who knew her.
Linda has two children, Rachel and Michael; and three grandchildren, David, Will and Kirsten. She has two great-grandchildren, Ray and Valerie and three adopted great-grandchildren, Allison, Isabell and Richard. She is also survived by her nieces, Cathy, Missy and Susan and nephews, Dylan and Jacob.
A visitation for Mrs. Biggs will be from 2 to 3 P.M. Saturday, May 11, 2024 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville. Funeral Services will be at 3 P.M. Saturday, May 11, 2024 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Bro. Mike Hollaway, pastor of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Rossville, officiating. Her place of burial will be Ebenezer Cemetery at Williston, beside her beloved “Ray.”
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be David Smith, Will Davis, David Biggs, Jacob Smith and Dylan Smith.
Condolences may be left on our online guestbook at www.PeeblesFuneralHome.com.
