Senior Expo set to return to the Jackson Civic Center

JACKSON, Tenn. — On Thursday May 23 at the Jackson Civic Center, The Southwest Tennessee Development District’s Area Agency on Aging and Disabilities, will bring back their Senior Expo.

This will be the first time since the pandemic that this expo has returned to the public.

This year’s theme is “Powered By Connections” and will focus on the importance of seniors taking steps away from loneliness.

Organizers say there will be lots of fun, a talent show, and an awards show.

“Amanda Leech with Alzheimer’s Tennessee– she’s a great speak, she will be there to inform everyone about what services they do, I think she’s going to have a little chair yoga. So it will be a fun day,” said Summer Howell, Administrative Assistant for AAAD.

If you’re interested in attending, pre-registration is required, and cost to register is $15

To register, contact Summer Howell at (731) 668- 6419 or email showell@swtdd.org
