Jackson Pre-K students take very first field trip

JACKSON, Tenn. — Some young students took a special trip downtown.

Wednesday morning, Isaac Lane Elementary Pre-K students went on their first field trip and very first bus ride to the Jackson-Madison County Library.

The field trip was sponsored by the school’s partner in education, the New Jackson Madison County Voters Council.

The time at the library featured a story and other activities.

Retired educator, Clarence Boone, shares what he wants the students to learn from this experience.

“To come to the library and not be afraid to come to the library and know that the library is a fun place for everyone to come to, even the small children,” Boone said.

Boone then thanked the bus drivers who took time out of their busy schedules to make this day possible.
