Gov. Bill Lee visits West Tennessee for Governors Luncheon

HUMBOLDT, Tenn. — The governor of Tennessee made a stop in Humboldt today, May 10.

Governor Bill Lee was the keynote speaker at the annual West Tennessee Strawberry Festival Governors Luncheon.

This is the premier political networking event of the year.

Governor Lee also talked about the poverty level in Tennessee.

“We have a lot of issues and a lot of challenges that we’ve got to work on. But the greatest thing we can do is create an environment where people can live a better life, whatever that looks like for them,” said said Governor Lee.

Governor Lee was presented with a hand-painted portrait and a flat of strawberries after his speech.
