Conservation board meets, discusses accessible playground and more

JACKSON, Tenn. — Members of the Madison County Conservation Board held their monthly meeting this evening, May 14.

The meeting was held at the Madison County Parks & Recreation Department’s administrative office located on Westover Road in west Madison County.

Several of the items on the agenda included recruitment for an open position on the board and discussion of new playground equipment at Godwin park.

“We have contracted out to do a professional state-of-the -art, ADA accessible playground and it’s going to be part of a second phase which is, if we get our bigger grant, local park and rec fund, we’ll be putting a restroom facility and a new pavilion and parking areas out there as well,” said Matthew Martin, Executive Director for Madison County Parks Department.
